Colossians 3:16 (KJV)16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

FROM THE PASTOR’S HEART
Greetings, in the name of The Lord. The purpose of El Bethel Baptist Church is to fulfill the ministries given to us in the New Testament: We have a ministry to the Master – to worship and glorify God and His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. We have a ministry to the multitude (the world) –to be light by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ and to be salt by standing against evil. We have a ministry to our members – to help each member grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, thereby bringing them to Christ like maturity and equipping them for Christian Service. I began this month’s column by listing our Purpose Statement because we need to be reminded of it periodically. We try to give people in our community the opportunity to become a Christian if they wish. We have ministered to people this year through our Clothes Closet Ministry, our Basketball Ministry, our work with PWC, a Blood Drive, the Men’s Ministry and other ways. We had a successful “Flowers for Someone Special”, a great EBVB, and the movie last Sunday night was very good. We met our Lottie Moon Offering goal and now we are receiving the Annie Armstrong Offering for North American Missions. This week (March 4 – 10) is the Week of Prayer for North American Missions, so as you give to the Annie Armstrong Offering, please pray for our North American Missionaries. Rylan has several events planned for our Children and Youth this month. There will be SNAC tonight at his house after church. Also, the Youth will help us in worship on March 18th and there will be special activities for the Youth and Children on March 31st. Pray for Rylan and Kayla as they minister to our children this month. Also, the Choir will work very hard this month preparing for the Easter Musical. Pray for Vernon, Ernie and the entire Choir for the musical itself. As we approach Easter, I am praying that God will give us a burden for the lost. I am praying that many of you will begin to share the Gospel with others with courage, compassion and conviction. I firmly believe if we will be faithful in the sowing, God will be faithful in the saving and many will come to know The Lord for their good, our good and God’s Glory. The bulletin board in the church says; “Loving God, Loving Others”. May we continue to love God supremely, love one another here as well as other Christians, and love the lost and try to reach them. I want to continue to ask each member to be praying for at least one lost person. May God bless each of you this month. Sincerely Yours and Eternally His, Joe Seay
